A Baby Wailing

On the 14th of July 2000, I was born. A surprise, mostly a shock, given that my parents required fertility treatment for each of my three siblings. This being the result of a brain aneurysm that my father suffered in his early twenties. Due to his aneurysm, he lost his sense of smell, and subsequently, his taste was damaged yet, future fertility complications were never discussed.

Mr. WAR Davies, aged 66, father of four, was one of the leading doctors in infertility. Mr. Davies was considered a remarkable and profoundly humane man, who gave so much of his life to ensuring others could create their own. Although he stayed out of the limelight, when he unfortunately passed in December 2015, his loss hit a community of women and men that owed so much of their own happiness to him.

Mr. Davies represented the best of the NHS, he represented a passion for life like no-one else. He applied the same level of enthusiasm and politeness to each of his patients whether this was at 3 o'clock in the afternoon or a call at 3 o'clock In the morning, Mr. Davies had a gift to make everyone feel welcome and special.

This is a visual introduction of just a few families made possible through his hard work, a man who never gave up on a single mother or father attempting to conceive. No previous diagnostic phased Mr. Davies; he truly believed that there is always hope and possibility, and that was enough to keep trying.

The concept of this book is to show that with every fantastic family image, there are underlying struggles and stories, not everything is straight forward; however, even the impossible can happen. Stories are critical to understanding this man's greatness in addition to how strong the women are who kept trying despite the odds.
